Sound is a weak point for any piece of video recording equipment without a specialized mic. Since iPhones and Flip HDs and other portable camera-devices generally lack boom mics, this means a plethora of videos with nigh-inaudible sound. Hopefully, the Samson Zoom Q3HD is the beginning of a reversal for this trend.
The Q3HD can record HD audio as well as HD video. That's 24-bit/96 Hz sound AND 1080p video (30-60 fps). There's a 4x digital zoom and three lighting settings. One of those is "Concert Lighting", which makes this perfect for burgeoning musicians hoping to put together GOOD live music recordings for the first time in your band's history.
Samson's Zoom comes with a 2 GB microSD card. It can handle a 32 GB card for 7 hours of video. Expect to see it in stores this Fall.
