MeeGo the merged OS from Mameo and Moblin is already available on a Tablet in Germany called the WeTab. A MeeGo device from Nokia is expected still this year. Engadget reports now that the VP in charge for MeeGo at Nokia has resigned. To resign just before a roll-out is never good. It is not clear why Ari Jaaksi has resigned. He stated that it is not because of the new CEO.
If this departure will delay Nokia MeeGo devices is unclear. Nokia is supposed to give an update on MeeGo soon. Nokia struggles to get its act together in the high-end smartphone segment where Apple and Android phones dominate.
