iLuv pulled the wraps off a new speaker dock that can charge the iPad and play music from the tablet at the same time. The device is wide enough to support the iPad and has a docking system that allows supports the iPhone or iPod touch without needing trays.
The dock is called the iMM747 and has individual speakers for mids, highs, and bass. Radiators for bass are also used in the machine. Other features include an aux in connection that uses a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The dock also has a mini USB jack for synchronizing the iPad and consumed 15W of power. Measurements are 14.3" W x 5" H x 3.7" D and it weighs 2-pounds. It will sell for $149.99 and will ship this month.
