If Verizon and Apple are not working on the Verizon iPhone, then they should better get to it as the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times are reporting that the Verizon iPhone goes on sale early 2011.
Verizon denied imminent iPhone plans, but always said they would like to have the iPhone on their network. Apple of course does not comment on rumors.

Verizon is rumored to unveil six LTE handsets at the CES 2011. Apple would land the biggest splash with the introduction of an LTE iPhone 4. An LTE iPhone would of course also work on the Verizon CDMA network. Smartphone with LTE, HSPA+ or WiMAX 4G connectivity will become a must have feature in premium smartphones in 2011 as carriers expand their 4G networks.
