On Monday, October 11, Microsoft unveiled the details of their new Windows Phone 7 OS and several devices slated to launch with it. One of these phones was the HTC Mozart, a high-end device from one of the most successful designers of the smartphone era.
The Mozart packs some impressive specs. A 3.7" Super LCD touchscreen (800 x 480), 8 MP camera (with 720p recording), Dolby sound and a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. The Mozart will be exclusive to Orange in the UK, France, Spain and Switzerland. It will also be available in Germany with Deutsche Telekom and in Austria with DT and Orange.
Expect Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS, plus a G-sensor, Proximity sensor and Ambient Light sensor. Storage space will be 8 GB, with 576 MB of RAM and 512 of ROM. The anticipated release date is on November 8 for AT&T customers in the US. The Mozart has already popped up on a support page for Orange UK. It could launch in Europe this month, but may wait until November.
