Toshiba Adds WiMax to Portege R700 Models

The Toshiba Portege R700 notebook hit the market back during the summer. The notebook is a lightweight and rugged ultraportable that has an optical drive and more. Toshiba has announced that it has added a 4G modem to certain R700 models.

The WiMax modems can be had in the R700-S1332W and the R700-S1322W. The two machines share some of the same features like a 13.1-icnh full HD resolution LED backlit screen, magnesium chassis, and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. They do differ in other key features and in price.

The S1332W has an Intel Core i7 processor and a 128GB SSD with a sale price of $1699. The S1322W runs a Core i5 CPU, has a 7200 rpm 320 GB HDD inside, and sells for $1349. Both of the WiMax equipped models are shipping right now.
