If you own a Nokia N900 and you'd like to give the MeeGo OS a try, now is the time. MeeGo's blog has just been updated with a post announcing that the new OS now has 3G audio call functionality. Interested hackers can now get MeeGo running on their Nokia N900 if they are willing to take the risks.
The MeeGo folks warn you to use only the latest repository or the next weekly image (new ones come up every Monday). Over the last few weeks the MeeGo team has been hard at work nailing down some persistent bugs. The most difficult work came while trying to get the fennec browser ready.
The PR 1.3 update for Maemo is also very close, and its launch will allow dual-booting Maemo and MeeGo on an N900. MeeGo itself is in the last stage of 1.1 finalization. Basically, a few minor bugs and UI tweaks are all that stands between it, and release.
