BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell: Now With A Horrible Ad

Sprint has just announced the launch of the BlackBerry Style 9670, a new flip smartphone that is heinously ugly. Back in April 21st my colleague Shane McGlaun asked if it might be the ugliest phone ever. I'd like to give him his answer in the form of a video.

This is RIM's official ad for the 9670. This is what they chose as the best way to represent a new flagship smartphone. Apparently, BlackBerry users love godawful Tiesto mixes and phones that look about 40% bulkier than they need to be. Seriously, this thing has never been in the same room as "elegant".

The 9670 has a full QWERTY keyboard, BlackBerry 6 OS, a 5 MP camera and GPS + geo-tagging. It has WiFi and can take up to a 32 GB microSD card. It launches with Sprint on October 31st.
