Windows 7 has been one of Microsoft's biggest hits in history. October 22nd is its one year anniversary, and Microsoft has announced that the OS has sold over 240 million licenses. This makes it the fastest-selling operating system in history.
Windows 7 currently (as of September) ships on 93% of new consumer PCs. It has a total global market share of 17%. I think with this news we can finally begin to wipe the stain of Vista from Microsoft's corporate soul.
