Three of the big TV stations have decided to let Google TV run against a wall. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier that ABC, CBS and NBC blocked the Google TV devices from accessing their web-based version of their shows.
Reuters reports now that a source familiar with the matter says that Google is now in negotiations with the broadcasters to lift the ban. It would have been nice if Google cleared this with the TV networks before rolling out the Google TV. Early adopters are getting screwed and have to deal with limits of what they can view with a Google TV.
I actually would recommend now to hold off on your planned Google TV purchase until this situation gets cleared. You need to know what you can do and what not with the Google TV before buying into Google's concept of Internet TV.
