A new color eBook reader is hitting the shelves. The Sharper Image branded Literati digital reader features a 7-inch color LCD screen with 800x480px resolution, Wifi, miniSD card slot, 512MB memory. This color eBook reader looks pretty stylish and is on sale for only $149.99 on Best Buy. In comparison an E-ink greyscale Amazon Kindle sells for $139.99. The color screen has advantages for reading magazines and photo heavy books, but the E-ink display is still the better option for long reading sessions and you can use it in bright sunlight.
The Literati is though a solid offering as it comes with 150 preloaded classics books and connects to the Kobo eBook store. Other features of the Literati include QWERTY keyboard, ePub, PDF, txt and html format support and built-in dictionary. What is not supported on the Literati is web browsing and apps like games.
The Literati comes with a free protective case and is a nice Holiday gadget gift. Buy the Sharper Image Literati now on Best Buy.
