An iPhone app developer called App Ninjas has been offering an app for a while now called Swipe for the iPhone. The company has announced that it is now shipping an Apple approved hardware accessory for the Swipe app.
The credit card swiper accessory is a mobile card processing solution that the iPhone plugs into like a case. The card swipper is on the bottom of the case.
When the hardware and app are paired with a merchant account the user can process credit cards in real time at the point of sale in or out of the office. Pricing and availability for the hardware scanner is unknown at this time.
