The Arctic Sound P311 headphones use Bluetooth to connect wirelessly to your music phone or other Bluetooth device. They ship with a carry case and fold for storage. The frequency response is 18Hz to 22Khz, they have controls for volume, and track built-in. You can buy your own set now for $37.95.
The Arctic Sound P311 headphones are a nice looking set of headphones that use a behind the neck style. That is important to users who don’t want their hair messed up when wearing headphones. The parts of the bands that sit over the top or your ears are hard plastic with no padding making them uncomfortable in short order.
I would have expected the headphones to have padding of some sort on the ear where the plastic hits the ears, but they don't. The controls on the Arctic Sound P311 headphones work just find for adjusting volume, but with track controls won't work on my iPhone 3GS. The headphones are easy to pair with the iPhone. All I had to do was hold down the power button with the phone on it until the LED indicators flashed blue and red, put the phone into pairing mode, and the process was finished in a few minutes.
Once paired the headphones work well for calls and have good sound quality. They offer great bass and a well rounded sound overall. The Bluetooth range for the headphones is certainly enough that you can put the phone in a cubby at the gym and walk around without having to keep your phone on you. I was able to listen about 30 feet from my iPhone and with about five walls between the phone and me.
The headphones come with a carry case so you can keep them safe during travel. They also fold flat to take up less space in a bag or suitcase. The only real downside to the Arctic Sound P311 headphones is that the band lacks ear padding.
The Arctic Sound P311 headphones have great sound and the only thing missing is some padding over the ears. If you can stand the unpadded earpieces you will like the sound the Arctic Sound P311 headphones produce.
