The rumors have turned out to be true and a couple of hours ago Apple started offering the Mac OS X 10.6.5 update for download. The 10.6.5 Update is recommended for all users running Mac OS X Snow Leopard and includes general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac.
Apple highlights the following improvements of 10.6.5:
The release notes of the Apple Mac OS X 10.6.5 do not mention anything related to the iOS 4.2 update coming most likely this Friday. A rumor that AirPrint will not work with any printer connected via a Mac has raised concern.
You can install the OS X 10.6.5 download when you hit Software Update in the Mac menu.
