iOS 4.2 fades quickly away into the distant future.

The first legitimate rumor said that we would have iOS 4.2 on our iPads, iPhones and iPod touches already today. Then earlier today rumors about a delay to next Tuesday appeared. Now The Telegraph reports that sources close to Apple say that iOS 4.2 would be released on Nov. 24, one day before Thanksgiving.

iOS 4.2 Release
is on Nov. 22nd says Apple.

It looks like Apple hit some last minute problems that triggered the new release schedule. Apple never said when in November iOS 4.2 will be released. So this is not a delay.

Just a couple hours ago Apple released the iTunes 10.1 update that gives iTunes AirPlay capability. You can now use you MacBook and wirelessly stream movies to your new Apple TV. Of course especially iPad owners are anxiously awaiting the iOS 4.2 update as it takes the iPad to a new level with multi-tasking and other features that iPhone owners already enjoy.
