Damn you ThinkGeek, you just ruined my entire Christmas list with something so awesome that I want to clear my entire Christmas list and put this one thing on it. I have been extra good this year after all. The guys at ThinkGeek know that the way to a geek and his wallet is through toys and gadgets that remind us of some of our favorite flicks from childhood.
This is why ThinkGeek has so many epic Star Wars items like that Wampa Rug and the C3-PO backpack. The latest offering to come from ThinkGeek to bring back memories of those cool flicks from my youth is the absolutely awesome replica of the Aliens Pulse Rifle from the Aliens flick. If the thing looks accurate and just like the weapon from the movie to you, it’s because it’s a dead on replica.
The thing is 100% faithful reproduction of the prop rifle that was used in the flick. It has the 30mm grenade launcher slung under the barrel. I has a metal barrel vent and the shoulder stock is collapsible. The shroud is the same brown color and dimensions as the movie weapon.
The side of the weapon even has the LED ammo counter that the movie gun had. Each time the clip is removed and inserted the counter resets to 95. The grenade launcher handle moves and it comes with a wall display rack that looks like the side of the shuttle from the flick. All this awesome will cost you $899.99. I even checked to be sure this was no faux product, it seems to be real. Power for that LED counter is from a pair of AA batteries. The only way this could be more pic is if they had made it shoot air soft pellets.
