Fender rocks VW with excusive car stereo gear
I think that lots of geeks can agree that the standard audio systems in most cars and trucks are not good at all. They lack bass and are generally really crappy sounding. There are a few exceptions to this though with some carmakers wrapping premium audio into their rides. You can opt for expensive premium audio systems in all sorts of brands today.

VW has announced that it has formed a new partnership with Fender for a premium audio system in some of its rides. Fender is well known in the concert audio world with all sorts of speakers that famous and infamous musicians use in concert. They know a thing or two about concert sound and teamed up with Panasonic for the car audio line.
"The best seat in the house is now behind the wheel of a Volkswagen," said Jonathan Browning, President and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America. "Our two iconic companies — one with a passion for driving, one with a passion for music — are joining forces to bring the raw emotion of live music to the driving experience."
The new premium audio system from Fender and VW will turn up first in the VW Jetta GLI and will later come to other Jetta models. VW will also add the premium audio system to its new 2012 mid-size sedan and the 2012 Beetle next fall. The Fender car audio line will be exclusive to VW cars. Fender says that the system is tuned for clarity and the sort of sounds that Americans want.
