We always see all sorts of cool new tech at CES each year. A lot of that tech will be related to Apple gear this year with tons of new accessories showing up like the new touchless Gesture User interface tech from Elliptic Labs that showed up at IFA this year.
The cool tech will reportedly be integrated into a new dock for the iPad that the user can control using gestures rather than having to press buttons. Gesture control tech for Apple gear isn’t a new category. Logitech has a sweet iPod alarm clock that has a snooze button and alarm that you deactivate by waving your hand above the clock.
The tech the new iPad dock will use creates a zone of gesture control that covers about one foot in front and to the side of the dock. The gestures will be able to control the primary functions of the dock. The tablet uses an app on the device and should work with the iPhone as well.
