With activation of a new line of service (or eligible upgrade) and a 2-year contract, Walmart retail stores will offer the new Apple iPhone 4 16GB for AT&T Wireless in Black (pictured) or White for $197. That's $2 less than what The Apple Store charges and it's the only deal we could find for the iPhone 4. Sales tax is added where applicable. Note that individual stores can change the price of this item at their discretion. It's scheduled for release on June 24.

The new iPhone 4 is powered by the Apple A4 processor and features a new 326-ppi (pixel per inch) Retina 3.5" display running at 960x640. A gyroscope has also been added, which when coupled with the accelerometer, allows for 6-axis motion sensing. A front-facing camera for video conferencing is new, while the rear-facing camera has been upgraded to 5 megapixels and now features an LED flash. It's also capable of recording 720p video at 30 fps. Other new features include 802.11n wireless networking, dual microphones, a larger battery, and more.
