Speakal speaker is modeled after a tame racing driver
Speakal is well known for making some wild speaker docks and gear for the iPhone and other devices. The company is back with a couple new speaker docks that it has shown off at CES that geeks will wet themselves over. One of the new speakers is the Tardis from Dr. Who that packs in Bluetooth and has an integrated subwoofer with 25W of power.
My favorite speaker is the one that looks like The Stig's helmet from Top Gear. Other than the design, both of the speakers are identical in functionality. The photo appears to show The Stig speaker with an iPhone on its top but there is no mention of actually having a dock built-in.
Pricing and availability are unknown at this time. “Top Gear and Doctor Who have some of the most die hard fans of any program in the world” said CEO David Solomon. “We’re proud to offer their fan base these unique and lifelike replicas of their favorite BBC icons” added Solomon.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
