Super Bowl 2011 Times and Facts

The Super Bowl 2011 is the 45th Super Bowl and again the biggest TV event of the year. The playoffs are over and the Greenbay Packers play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl XLV. We are anyway mostly interested in the Super Bowl commercials and the entertainment around the big game. We have pulled together all important facts about the Super Bowl XLV in this guide. Super Bowl XLV Date and Location
The Super Bowl 2011 takes place on Sunday, February 6th in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington North Texas. The Dallas Cowboys Stadium is located in Arlington not in Dallas. Do not make that mistake, the Arlington people do not like that.
Super Bowl XLV TV Broadcast
Fox is broadcasting this year the Super Bowl in the United States. The Super Bowl 2011 pre-game coverage starts at 2pm ET on Fox. The Big Game coverage starts at 6pm ET. Of course there are manhy hours of pre-game programming to warm you up for the big game. Main National TV stations around the world will broadcast the big game as well, but you will not get to see the Super Bowl ads outside of the United States. Super Bowl XLV Stadium
The Cowboys Stadium is one of the largest domed structures in the world with 660,800 square feet. It opened in 2009 and has a capacity of 80,000. The stadium can be expanded to 110,000. There is a 160 feet wide and 72 feet tall HD video screen. The Cowboys stadium cost $1.3 billion to build. Fox has sold out the available Super Bowl slots (30 seconds) at about $3 million very early on. According to AdAge the Super Bowl 2010 contained almost 48 minutes of commercials. Wil Fox top this number? Car makers are dominating the line-up this year. Newcomers this year include Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Best Buy and Pepsi is back after a year of absence. Some of the favorite Super Bowl advertisers are back again including E-Trade, Bridgestone, Anheuser-Bush, Audi and infamous Go Daddy.

The Black Eyed Peas will rock the Super Bowl 2011 halftime show. The Super Bowl Halftime shows are the most watched music events each year. According to the NFL more than 153 million will watch the Super Bowl halftime show alone in the United States. You can imagine how a Super Bowl appearance can push album sales. The Black Eyed Peas with sexy Fergie have just recently launched a new album called The Beginning.
If you are not a fan of the Black Eyed Peas there is an alternative Super Bowl haftime show. On Pay Per View you can watch the Lingerie Bowl VIII. The Lingerie Bowl has two girl teams play against each other wearing lingerie. The Lingerie Football league got pretty big by now with 10 teams around the country.
Super Bowl XLV National Anthem
There is no announcement yet who will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl 2011. Last year Carrie Underwood performed the Star-Spangled Banner. Christina Aquilera is singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl XLV. Glee star Lea Michele will sing America is Beautiful before the Super Bowl XLV kick-off.
Super Bowl TV Specials
Before Super Bowl Fox will air an interview with President Barack Obama hosted by Bill O Reilly. After the big game a special episode of Glee will air. The Glee Super Bowl episode got already major attention and Glee fans are already very excited. One of the featured songs will be a Michael Jackson mash-up.
Super Bowl TV Deals
Right now the Super Bowl TV sales are launching. Walmart is already offering big savings for the big game.
Who plays the Super Bowl?
Even when you just watch the Super Bowl 2011 for the ads you still should now which two NFL teams are playing against each other on Super Bowl Sunday. The Greenbay Packers play against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
