The Super Bowl XLV will have a lot of movie trailers catering to geeks. Sci-fi movies and comic heroes are easily outnumber other types of movies. Besides Captain America, Thor is another Marvel comic based movie that will be featured during the Super Bowl 2011 ads according to the Hollywood Reporter. Thor will be in theaters on May 6th.
The epic adventure "Thor" spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
The cast of Thor includes Chirs Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Natalie Portman. You can watch the current Thor trailer below. We will of course publish the final Thor Super Bowl 2011 trailer as soon as it becomes available.
Just like last year, I4U News will be featuring again the Super Bowl for Geeks Guide. Of course the Super Bowl 2011 for Geeks Guide will be all about the Super Bowl Commercials and not the big game. The Super Bowl XLV will take place in the Dallas Cowboys stadium on February 6th 2011.
