HomeAway Super Bowl Ad 2011 is already published [Video]

The online vacation rental marketplace HomeAway has already published their Super Bowl 2011 commercial online. Last year HomeAway debuted as Super Bowl advertiser with a cool ad that brought back Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo as Clark and Ellen Griswold from the 80s movie National Lampoon's Vacation. This year HomeAway tries its luck with the Ministry of Detourism. The HomeAway Campaigns key message is "Why Hotel when you can HomeAway."

The HomeAway Super Bowl ad for 2011 shows the bad sides of hotel rooms in a fast paced ad that has a drastic joke in the middle that will raise some eyebrows. This HomeAway commercial titled "Test Baby" is much closer to the business HomeAway is in and still is quite entertaining. You can watch the new HomeAway Super Bowl 2011 ad below now.

There are already three other Super Bowl 2011 ads published. Why are advertisers releasing their Super Bowl ads before the game? This way they generate online buzz and already collect views before the ad will actually air during the Super Bowl. This can work great, but also can dilute the ad. Most advertisers that release their Super Bowl Ad early hope that people start talking about the ad and tell others to make sure not to miss their ad during the big game.
