The Angry Birds game cannot get any bigger now. The smash hit mobile game is appearing in a Super Bowl ad. As already reported Rovio partnered with 20th Century Fox to promote the upcoming animated movie Rio with a special Rio Angry Bird game edition. AdAge reports that Fox will actually run a Rio Super Bowl Trailer on Sunday. The Rio Super Bowl ad will feature an embedded code for the Angry Birds game that will unlock a special level.
Players who complete the secret level in the game will be entered in a special Rio sweepstakes. Apparently you need to pause the Rio Super Bowl ad to catch the code for the Angry Bird level.
Good thing the Angry Bird and Rio Super Bowl trailer will be published online as soon as the ad airs during the Super Bowl XLV. Check back here to watch the ad and extract the code. Not everybody has a TiVo at home. It is definitely a cool idea to link a Super Bowl commercial to a popular game. You can actually play the game right on your smartphone while continuing watching the Super Bowl. Below you can watch a trailer of Angry Birds Rio and also a Rio movie Trailer.
Just like last year, I4U News will be featuring again the Super Bowl for Geeks Guide. Of course the Super Bowl 2011 for Geeks Guide will be all about the Super Bowl Commercials and not the big game. The Super Bowl XLV will take place in the Dallas Cowboys stadium on February 6th 2011.
