Thanko's Latest WTF product is a Cat's Nose

In the world of weird products, there are a few companies that have gear that have really weird products. The strangest gear generally comes from Thanko and the product it has today is right up there with the strangest ever.

Thanko has unveiled a new USB-powered fan for those surgical masks Japanese folks like to wear. The mask looks like a cat's nose and has a fan inside that spins when plugged into the computer. The idea is that the fan will help the mask wearer breathe easier.

The mask uses straps to hold it around the ears and is just damned weird. It even has whiskers on it. It is available now for 1980 yen with tax included. So, is illness that rampant in Japan that people have to wear masks all the time?
