Chrysler is set to land a big splash with their Super Bowl 2011 commercial on Sunday. As reported yesterday, Chrysler will air an unprecedented 2 minute long Super Bowl commercial that will likely have an appearance of rapper Eminem in it. The Detroit Free Press has just released a report that Chrysler will promote the new 2011 Chrysler 200 in their epic Super Bowl commercial.
Update:
Watch the Chrysler Super Bowl Commercial 2011 now. It is 2 minutes long, but awesome.

The Chrysler 200 is a mid-sized car and Chrysler wants to position it as a luxury choice. Chrysler most likely tries to connect Detroit and Eminem to establish an image of being real and close to the roots.

It is very risky to run a 2 minute commercial. The ad needs to keep the audience captivated for a very long time. The Chrysler Super Bowl commercial needs to draw viewers in and keep them watching. If it is at any point boring the Super Bowl viewers will snap out of it and go get a beer - $12 million wasted.

Chrysler is right now running a Super Bowl social media campaign dubbed Blogger Game On Road Trip, where you can win $10,000 in prices. See also other hot Super Bowl Contests.
