Plextor has announced a new series of SSDs that are available right now. The new SSDs are the same under the hood with the difference being the capacity. The new SSDs are 2.5-inch from factor devices and use the Marvell 88SS9174 controller.
The have sequential read performance of up to 450MB/s, support TRIM, and have a 128GB DDR3 cache. The drives also came with Acronis True Image software. The SSDs have write speeds up to 330MB/s.
They are the first to support the SATA 6Gb/s port and all three SSDs are in the Plextor M2 series. The SSDs can be purchased right now with the 64GB version for $179.99, the 128GB version at $329.99, and the 256GB version at $699.99.
