Lenovo Tablet PCs Coming

Lenovo has been in the computer market for a long time and the company certainly isn’t known for innovation. Typically, we see the firm wait until a category is established and then jump in me too style. Such is the case with this announcement that Lenovo has tablet PCs coming this year.

Sales are to start in June according got Lenovo COO Rory Read and the tablet will be called the LePad. Read figures that tablets will make up as much as 15% of the notebook market in the next 1-2 years.

Details on the tablet aren’t offered. I would think it could go either way as for as OS, I could see Android or Windows on the machines. I would hope for Android on a dedicated tablet since the other convertible offerings will lean more to Windows.
