The HP Slate is the closest Tablet in terms of looks to the Apple iPad. In terms of user interface nothing has been revealed so far. Without that and the service offering it is hard to say if the HP Slate is a valid Apple iPad alternative.
The HP Slate is rumored to be cheaper. The Wall Street Journal (subscription) reports now that their sources claim that HP aims at under pricing the Apple iPad 3G.
