Of all the movies that I have watched in my life, the Star Wars franchise is still some of my favorite films. These are some of the only flicks that I can watch repeatedly without getting bored of them. Lucasfilm announced a long time ago that the franchise would be coming to Blu-ray for the first time this year.
The official announcement was offered this week and the complete Star Wars Saga on Blu-ray with all six films will land September 16. You will also be able to buy bundles with just the three original films or just the three new films as well.
The saga has 1080p visuals and supports 6.1 DTS surround sound. The special features on the discs include a behind the scenes look at the promotion of the films and more. There is also a lot of commentary on the disc that tells the watcher about the films. These will be some of the best selling Blu-rays of 2011.
My Take: Buy them you will. Pre-order it now on Amazon.
