Netflix for some Android Phones is Here

Netflix releases Player for Android Phones.

Netflix releases finally an app for Android Phones. The free Netflix app is now available on the Android Market. Netflix only supports five Android phones at this point. See the list below. The list of supported phones is supposed to grow quickly.

Netflix explains why the Netflix app is not available on all Android Phones with the lack of standard streaming playback features. Let's hope that Google is fixing this diversity in the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) release end of this year.

The Netflix for Android Phone apps supports streaming rented movies via WiFi or 3G. You can resume watching where you left off on your TV or computer and browse and search movies.

The Netflix for Android Phones works with the following models:

1. HTC Incredible with Android 2.2
2. HTC Nexus One with Android 2.2, 2.3
3. HTC Evo 4G with Android 2.2
4. HTC G2 with Android 2.2
5. Samsung Nexus S with Android 2.3
