Apple started to promote the iPad as Father's Day gift in the Apple Store. Father's Day is on June 19. The iPad 2 has still a 1-2 week shipping delay. If you order it now the iPad 2 should still arrive in time for Father's Day.
Apple says about the iPad as Father's Day gift: "For everything Dad does, the gift that does everything." Isn't this nice? If you are able to afford the $499 for an entry-level iPad 2, Dad sure will be happy.
The iPad 2 is a great gift in general, but has its price. The 16GB iPad 2 Wi-Fi costs $499. The top of the line iPad 2 64GB Wi-Fi + 3G has a price of $829. More details on the Apple Store.
if your dad already owns an iPad then get him the super cool iCade iPad Arcade Cabinet from ThinkGeek.
