HP TouchPad enters Tablet War on June 12?

Leaked HP TouchPad documents suggest June 12th launch of first webOS Tablet.

HP announced the first webOS Tablet dubbed HP TouchPad in February. Initially an April launch date for the TouchPad was rumored, but that obviously did not happen. PreCentral got their hands on internal HP QuickSpecs for the TouchPad. In the footer of this four-page document is the date June 12. This could be possibly the world-wide launch date of the TouchPad.

Over the weekend PreCentral had another report that tags Walmart as the exclusive retail partner for the HP TouchPad launch. The $599 32GB would therefore go on sale on June 12 at Walmart.

The HP TouchPad features a 9.7-inch screen with 1024x768px resolution and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-CPU APQ8060 1.2-GHz processor. Other features of the first WebOS Tablet include 16GB or 32GB storage, Wifi 802.11n, A-GPS (3G only), Bluetooth, 1.3MP front faceing webcam, 6300mAh battery and Micro-USB port. On the software side the WebOS TouchPad supports Adobe Flash Player 10.1 beta, HP Synergy feature, virtual full QWERTY keyboard and Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite.
