The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet is near. Best Buy (via Engadget) published a product page for the new Samsung Galaxy Tab that challenges directly the Apple iPad 2. Best Buy did not publish a price yet and the Tab 10.1 is marked as "Coming Soon." The product description is though revealing all technical details including that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will ship with Honeycomb 3.1.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is exactly as thin as the iPad 2 (0.34-inches). Other features include 10.1-inch 1,280x800px display, 1GHz Tegra 2 CPU, 3MP and 2MP Cameras, 7,000mAh battery, 16/32GB storage, WiFi 802.11n and GPS.
Samsung and Google handed out 5,000 Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets at the Google I/O conference earlier this month. So there are already users of it out there,b ut I think they still run on Android 3.0.1.
