The Super Bowl XLVI will take place on February 5, 2012 in Indianapolis. Just like this year, I4U News is going to feature again the Super Bowl for Geeks Guide. The Super Bowl 2012 for Geeks Guide will be mostly about the Super Bowl Commercials and not the game. Besides the new Super Bowl logo for 2012 (see above) there is already some news from NBC on the show the will schedule to air after the Super Bowl. Fox aired a special episode of Glee with huge success this year. According to MovieWeb, NBC will air a special hour of The Voice. The Voice is a casting show for vocal talents. Season one of The Voice is over and NBC might have the premiere of the 2nd season after the Super Bowl 2012.
Ad Age reports that NBC is upping the price for the 30s Super Bowl Ads spots and is asking $3.5m. Fox was said to charge $3million this year.
Remember the cool Chrysler Super Bowl 2011 commercial (video) starring Eminem? Well, there is a new one out with Dr. Dre driving around in LA. (watch it below). The Chrysler Super Bowl ad is also a topic in a lawsuit. German car maker Audi has used music in a commercial for the 2012 Audi A6 that sounds an awful lot like Eminem's Lose Yourself. You can read more about that funny story on the Detroit Free Press.
There is actually a small risk that there is no Super Bowl XLVI because of the NFL Lockout. It is expected though that this will get resolved soon and the 2011 season can go start.
