Taking photos with a phone in low-light is always a problem. Apple is rumored to improve things a bit in the iPhone 5 with a dual-LED flash. This new rumor comes from Digitimes. Taiwan-based LED packaging firms Everlight Electronics, Edison Opto and Lite-On Technology being pinpointed as potential suppliers.
The rumors around the iPhone 5 camera sensor have not settled yet. A new 8MP sensor is rumored often, but there are also reports that Apple sticks to the 5MP resolution found in the current iPhone 4.
The iPhone 5 is still mostly expected to be released in September. A rumor this week put the release in August. Anything is still possible, but as there no indicators yet that Apple has launched production of the iPhone 5, a September release is more plausible.
What is very likely is that the iPhone 5 will run on the Apple A5 CPU. Everything else is still not 100% certain.
