ViewSonic announced a 7-inch Honeycomb Android Tablet back in May. Huawai announced their 7-inch MediaPad last month. Who will ship first? According to a new report on Digitimes it could be ViewSonic. ViewSonic is supposed to launch the 7-inch Honeycomb tablet soon.
Google has apparently adapted Honeycomb for 7-inch tablets with the release of Android 3.2. The new ViewSonic tablet is powered by a dual-core Tegra CPU and offers a resolution of 1024x600px.
The Huawei MediaPad has similar key specifications. The interesting point will be the pricing of these smaller Honeycomb tablets. The 10-inch Honeycomb tablets currently on the market sell for around $500.
