The week just started and already several new Apple rumors fill the air waves. First off, I want to point you to an earlier report today about the lack of truth in recent Apple rumors. It's a dicy problem, but the Apple rumors mill has gotten a bit out of hand. There are again several Apple rumors that got launched today that I believe will not turn into anything, but are widely covered and therefore interesting.
First off, Apple is supposedly testing high resolution displays from LG and Samsung for the iPad 3. The OS X Lion Update is now supposed to be released as early as Wednesday according to a new rumor featured in this report. Because all rumors about the OS X Lion release date have been false leading up to last Thursday, I am hesitant to now believe this one. Maybe Apple is still figuring out when they are actually prepared to have the App Store go down in flames. Ridiculous High number of users, huge file sizes and billing are poison for any online service.
There is also a new version of the pre-paid iPhone rumor. This time the iPhone 3GS is supposed to be available for $350 pre-paid when the iPhone 5 launches.
The Wall Street Journal carries a report that Apple is close to cut a deal with China Mobile, bringing the iPhone 5 to more than 600 million potential customers. There is though no new information in this report that has not been covered here already.
