Back in April I already I wrote a report that the MacBook is not recommendable anymore. The MacBook Air with it's new architecture is just way more reasonable. Apple needs to do something about the dated white MacBook. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo with Concorde Securities told AppleInsider that his industry checks show a drop off of internal MacBook order for August. This could mean that Apple is discontinuing the MacBook at this point.
I still believe though that Apple will unveil a new MacBook. It will be though something completely new. Maybe Apple is able to give the MacBook an aluminum unibody and cook up a hardware configuration that provides acceptable performance at an affordable price.
