White Galaxy S2 shows up in Europe

The Samsung Galaxy S2 has already sold over 5 million units and will go on sale in the United States next month. This success did not help though Samsung to take the top spot as smartphone maker. Apple is in the lead. Samsung has though the next bestseller in the wings. Samsung is releasing a white Galaxy S2 starting next month in Europe. Dvice already spotted the white Galaxy S2 listed at a phone retailer in the UK for pre-order unlocked.

The white Galaxy S2 has the same specs as the black model. At 8.9mm the Samsung Galaxy S2 is very thin. Features of the Samsung Galaxy S2 include a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with a 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus display and an 8MP camera. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, HSPA and NFC (depending on market).

Based on the delayed entry of the black Galaxy S2 in the US market, I expect to see the white Galaxy S2 in time for the Black Friday Shopping season. Last fall, Best Buy scored some white exclusive smartphone offers. They might try to do the same stunt again this coming Holiday shopping season.
