Apple TV 2 owners got some new features today with the release of Apple TV Software update 4.3. Apple highlights two new features in the 4.3 release. You now can purchase TV shows directly on the Apple TV box. Shows purchased on Apple TV can be re-downloaded on other iOS devices. Shows purchased on other iOS devices or with iTunes automatically show up as available to play on Apple TV.
Additionally the Apple TV box supports now browsing and watching videos from Vimeo. Via this Apple TV support document for the 4.3 update.
What i still miss badly is TV show rentals. It would also be great in general if all TV shows on iTunes would also be available as 99c rentals. A lot of TV shows are just offered for purchase only.
