Apple and Samsung are facing off in a heavy patent fight, but now Apple seems to have landed a major blow. According to the DPA (German) a German Court followed Apple's request and ordered a European wide sales stop of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. In case Samsung is not following this order a fine of 250,000 Euro is set. I am not quite sure how a German court has the authority to issue an European wide ban. There are no comments yet from Samsung on this matter.
Apple won a similar injunction in Australia a couple days ago. There Samsung said that they made a deal with Apple to sell a Galaxy Tab 10.1 that is a bit different than the US version. No details of the changes have been revealed.
