Long awaited 7-inch Acer Iconia A100 is launching
Acer announces the availability of the Acer Iconia Tab A100 Tablet. The $329.99 7-inch Tablet is the first HoneyComb 3.2 Android tablet on the market. As HP lowered their price of the WebOS TouchPad to $399.99 permanently, the low price of the smaller Iconia A100 does not stand out anymore that much. Acer really should have brought that tablet earlier to the market back when they launched the Iconia A500.

Weighing in at a mere 0.92 pounds and measuring only a half-inch thick (iPad 2 still thinner with 0.34-inch), the Acer Iconia Tab A100’s portable size makes it easy to take anywhere. The 7-inch TFT WSVGA screen displays at 1024×600 resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio and 75-degree wide viewing angle. Plus, the 7-inch capacitive touch-screen is supposed to be incredibly responsive and accurate for convenient finger-tip control.
Other features of the Acer Iconia A100 include HDMI Port, 5MP camera, Dolby Mobile Sound, Wifi 802.11n, and Micro-SD card slot. HoneyComb 3.2 enables apps to work with the 7-inch screen size, improves the browser and adds Adobe Flash Player 10.3.
The 16GB Acer Iconia Tab A100 sells for $329.99. Acer says it is in retail stores now. I could not find an online store selling the A100 yet.
