I am not a big fan of pre-ordering video games generally, but often you can get some cool extras to go with the game if you pre-order. Today I am going to run down five of the coolest video games for the PS3 console that you can pre-order right now. The downside to pre-ordering is that you may not get the game for a few months. 1. Battlefield 3 - Limited Edition - This game is rated M for mature and will be the latest installment of the long running and very popular Battlefield franchise. The game sells for $59.99 and can be pre-ordered right now with shipping expected on October 25. The pre-order bonus for this game is the Dog Tag pack along with the Battle Field 3: Back to Karkand expansion for free. The expansion pack has new maps and more.

2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Of all the shooter franchises out there my favorite is Call of Duty and Modern Warfare 3 is the coming edition in the franchise. The game will ship on November 8 and Amazon is offering a free bonus for pre-ordering the game. The bonus item is an exclusive MW3 wallpaper delivered as soon as you pre-order. That is a lame special offer to get you to pre-order if you ask me.

3. Resistance 3 - If your tastes lean towards sci-fi shooters Resistance 3 is a great choice. The game is up for pre-order at $59.99 with a ship date of September 6. Amazon is offering some nice upgrades if you pre-order. You will get a beta access code and access to the Air Fuel Grenade in the single player campaign. A doomsday version of the game is offered for $149.99 and includes the game, a gun holder for the PS move and the move controllers themselves along with the camera.

4. Madden NFL 12 - If sports games are you thing Madden 12 is probably the game you are waiting for. This game will ship on August 30 for $59.99. The special pre-order bonus for this game is a $20 Amazon credit and exclusive All Rookies team and All Sophomores team. This is the football game to get and will be on many lists this Christmas.

5. FIFA Soccer 12 - If you love soccer the other sports game to have this year is FIFA 12. The game is up for pre-order for $59.95 and you get a special pre-order bonus too. The bonus is a $20 credit to your Amazon account and a free Fathead Teammate measuring 12" x 12" of your favorite MLS team.
