The HP Online store will get another batch of $99 TouchPads in the coming weeks.

The $99 HP Tablet has taken consumers by storm since it went on sale on Saturday. Many got disappointed not being able to score one of the bargain tablet deals. There is another good chance coming up in the next weeks. HP has posted on their blog that more TouchPads are on the way.

HP is actually going to produce one last run of TouchPads to meet the the unfulfilled demand. I am actually wondering why they would do that. Selling the TouchPad at $99 is a money losing proposition. I understand that HP is clearing its inventory, but making new ones? Anyway, HP does not know how many they get and it will take a few weeks until they arrive.

You can subscribe to be notified when the new $99 TouchPads are going on sale. There will be 1 per person purchase limit. More details here.

Why the $99 HP Tablet can be a great deal for you:
For under $100 the HP TouchPad is by far the best tablet deal available right now. If you need a tablet to check email and surf the web the HP TouchPad is more than you need. The only down-side is that the app eco-system is likely to die out. If you are lucky though, and HP promises to keep webOS alive and also the webOS app eco-system then you actually sort of won the lottery. Clearly the HP TouchPad is not the hottest hardware, but the $99.99 price makes it a killer tablet deal. In addition there are projects underway that port Android to the HP TouchPad.
