iOS 5 goes Golden Master on September 23 says new Rumor

The iPhone 5 will be launched wit iOS 5. Developers are supposed to get the next beta (beta 8) of iOS 5 by Friday. BGR reports that they heard that a week later Apple plans to go Golden Master with iOS 5. iPhone makers would then have time to test iOS 5 until October 5. If all goes well, the iPhone 5 can than start shipping to Apple. This time plan of iOS 5 supports the mid-October release of the iPhone 5 that is rumored since a couple weeks.

In the worst case scenario, Apple is encountering a severe bug in the Golden Master that would prevent them to go ahead with the planned launch. This would mean we would to wait even longer for the iPhone 5.
