New report claims that Apple will hold its Fall Media event announcing the iPhone 5 on Tuesday, October 4.
We have previously expected that Apple will hold its iPhone 5 media event in the last September week. A new report by John Paczkowski on AllThingsD says though that Apple will hold its Fall Media Event on October 4.

This date is not official, AllThingsD refers to sources close to the situation. The source also says that the iPhone 5 will launch within a few weeks after the event. This would put the iPhone 5 launch date closer to end of October and not the rumored early to mid-October time frame.
If the October 4 date for the next Apple media event is true than we should expect to see invites starting to appear early next week.
The iPhone 5 Media event will be hosted by the new Apple CEO Tim Cook. This will be his first full blown product presentation as CEO of Apple. It will be interesting if Steve Jobs will attend the iPhone 5 Media event in some form.
