Amazon announced the Kindle Fire tablet. It is only $199.

The Amazon tablet has a 7-inch display and a super low price. The press event is still underway, but Bloomberg already spilled the beans.

The Kindle Fire indeed runs on a dual-core CPU and has a 7-inch IPS display covered by Gorilla glass.

Amazon uses their cloud service to speed up browsing on the Kindle Fire with Amazon Silk.

Full details of the Kindle Fire and pre-order information are now available in this Kindle Fire Report.
