We are less than 3 hours away from Apple unveiling the new iPhone. Are you already thinking about how you can get rid of your iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS and getting money for it? Apparently tons of iPhone owners are expected to use trade-in services. A report appeared on Forbes saying that Trade-in companies expect a 5x increase in iPhone trade-ins in the month following the iPhone 5 release.
Gazelle reports that they already see an increase. Last week the processed over 5,000 iPhones. Why are people trading in their iPhone before there is a new one? How can they live without an iPhone for possibly two weeks until the new iPhones go on sale? I do not get that.
Walmart pinged me that they offer iPhone trade-ins via Gazelle. You get Walmart gift cards in return. For a 16GB iPhone 4 from AT&T you in good condition you get $191.
