The iPhone 4S goes on sale tomorrow, Friday October 14. Apple said that during the first 24 hours of the iPhone 4S pre-order offer 1 million iPhone 4S have been sold. So how many iPhone 4S devices has Apple set aside for the traditional in-store sales? The lines for the iPhone 4S are already forming around the world. Here is a photo from the line at the Apple Store in Ginza, Japan. Does it make sense to go in line? Is it already too late? It is really hard to say as we just do not know how many iPhone 4S Apple will have in the Apple Stores. We also do not know how many iPhone 4S the carriers set aside for the in-store launch. There will be of course some, but the question is are their hundreds or just a dozen. There is also the issue that the iPhone 4S comes in two colors and three storage configurations.
